Solution For Damaged Accelerometer and gyro of Nokia Lumia 920
Are you in tension regarding damage of accelerometer and gyro of your Lumia 920????
Well,This was the problem which even i faced recently and found the solution for this and here im posting this ..so that if anyone is facing this problem this post may help them out !!
Few days back I was upset &tensed regarding damage of accelerometer and gyro of my Lumia 920.
My phone's display had broken and I replaced the whole display unit from a local repair shop. After replacing, my gyro, accelerometer etc were not working .when i went to the repair shop regarding this issue they said they cant help directly even after my long request
But i wanted to get this solves so later, I searched in net for the solution of this and i even noticed lot of similar complaints were there in many forums, but no proper solution was available.then after that I downloaded service manuals of the mobile and I couldn't find where is the sensor for gyro and accelerometer is located. How ever I took a chance. On the display unit, there is a strip for power, volume and camera button base, there is a small IC additional on that strip. In a video of "how to dismantle and re install Lumia 920" it was mentioned, this particular sensor is the e compass. so I guessed the faulty part would be that IC. I took the old broken display unit and carefully removed that particular strip with the IC. then I replaced the strip on new display unit with my old one. And everything worked fine.
So, if any one face problem with gyro, compass, accelerometer etc... remember about this strip...
